Human hair extensions have their advantages such as being able to dye them, heat style them and cutting them to match your natural hair pattern. Human hair extensions obviously have a more natural appearance as they are the same make-up as your own hair.

Therefore they flow the same and you can customise them to truly match your natural hair colour. High-quality human hair extensions can be expensive but if you are a daily hair extension user these would seriously benefit you in the long run.
Seamless Clip-in Extensions
Seamless hair extensions = seamless blend. Now through the evolution of hair extensions, there have been developments in how the attachments look. They’ve been adapted over the years and due to their innovative design they look as discrete as possible so no one knows you have them in. These are what they now call seamless clip-ins. Purchasing seamless clip-ins can mean two things: higher price and ultimate comfort.
Seamless human hair clip-ins are more expensive as they have to go through more of a process for the root band to be covered and flattened with silicone. The flexible silicone material secures the hair strands meaning they have a tight grip on each individual strand ensuring less fallout and tangles. The flexible weft design leaves them flatter to the head meaning they are harder to see through your natural hair. If you like to put your hair up a lot these might be more comfortable on your head to wear due to discrete design and flexibility.
Seamless clip-in sets just come in human hair. Due to the flat silicone base, they are light in weight and more flexible giving maximum comfort and less tension on your hair during wear. They also have less volume at the root meaning if you have thin or finer hair the roots of the extensions are much less likely to show through your natural hair giving gorgeous, natural-looking hair.

Traditional Clip-In Extensions
Traditional hair extensions do not have a silicone seam at the root. Classic extension clips are sewn to a lace fabric. This means the hair does go up to the root but they have a thread seam going all the way along the top. This thread seam may not always be a great match to the hair colour meaning it can stand out more against your natural hair revealing the hair extensions if your natural hair separates. If you have thicker hair this may not be an issue for you as you have enough thickness to cover this band. The root of traditional hair extensions is often more voluminous than seamless hair extension sets as the hair hasn't been flattened and thinned this giving extra volume. The traditional sets are therefore slightly heavier on the head. Those with thinner hair may not like the traditional hair extensions for this reason. Making the seamless extensions the best fit for you.
Traditional style clip-in hair extensions come in human hair and also synthetic hair. Synthetic hair is heavier than human hair as it is not as fine as human hair. Though clever fibre technology can mimic human hair and give you high-quality hair extensions, it will never replicate it 100%.

To round up all of this information if you have thin hair the seamless extensions would be of the most benefit to you due to the flat silicone root being flat to the head. They will also be the lightest clip-in hair extension option so there won't be as much pulling or tension on your natural hair. Traditional hair extensions are more voluminous at the root and may be better for people who need length over thickness. This option is also cheaper because the roots don't need to go through the silicone process.
